Head Brewer

Plainfield, Illinois, United States · Midnight Pig Beer

Our brewpub is now in its 5th year of very successful operation in the town of Plainfield, IL. Nevins Brewing Company is an award winning Brewery and Bar-Restaurant that boasts its love for great beer, food and entertainment, and is home to specialty craft brew, Midnight Pig. During prohibition, the classic "Ball Jar" commonly used by bootleggers under the cover of the nights to transport their experimental brews was referred to as a "pig". This spirit of emboldened novelty that defined an infamous era in Chicago inspires Midnight Pig Beer to give you something great.

Midnight Pig Beer is looking for our next brewer. We are a 15-barrel brewhouse with 90 bbls of fermentation tanks and 90 bbls of Bright tanks. We sell in Illinois with most of our product sold at our Nevins Brewing Company Restaurant. On our way to 1000 barrels/year, you must be nimble, able to multitask, and troubleshot on your own. We’re looking for a real renaissance person- lagers, sours, NEIPA’s and barrel aging.

Our brewer must be able to lift full ½ barrels onto shelves in our cooler, so this position will be filled by someone with strength. Forklift certification a plus but we will train the right individual.

Midnight Pig brews 6 regular ales, seasonals every month, barrel aging, pilot brewing, bottled limited releases, tours every week, multiple brew fests every year, 7 National and International Awards….and the best live music in town every weekend! Our Brewery serves our in-house 20 tap bar/140 seat restaurant, and distributors in Illinois.

If you are looking for a challenging and creative brewing environment in a small town who will adopt you as family, come and join our state of the art brewery and restaurant! If you are looking to become a brewing celebrity, advance your brewing career, with a creative liberty very seldom enjoyed by others, Mindnight Pig Beer is the place for you to be!
